How the Spanish fast-food franchise specialized in Sandwiches increased sales and promoted its brand during the football Eurocup.

    • Rodilla is a Spanish fast-food franchise specialized in sandwiches.
    • It was founded in 1939, starting as a small local business in the Plaza del Callao (Madrid) and in the 1990s it began its national expanion.
    • Since 2012 it has been part of the Damm Group.
    • They currently have over 150 restaurants open including 3 in Miami since 2019.

    Objective

    Increase sales and brand awareness during the football’s Euro Cup 2020.

     

    Strategy

    We created a Scratch Card Campaign tailored to Rodilla’s needs, offering a branded website where customers could redeem their codes playing a game to win special prizes.

    The codes could be redeemed through the branded campaign website.
     

    Communication to Customers

    “Buy a Sandwich Multipack (12,16, 22, 30) and/or a Combo Wrap in-store or through the app and get a code that will allow you to play a scratch card game to win special prizes”

    Fulfilment

    Campaign took place in Spain, throughout all the Rodilla’s restaurants and in their online app.
    Website and customer support was in Spanish.

    The prizes fulfilled to winning customers were:
