Inspire was approached by MasterCard Loyalty Solutions to provide travel rewards redemption capability and given a brief to create a bespoke, flexible platform which would facilitate reward point redemption in exchange for travel products.
The original objectives of the programme were that the cardholders had to be able to redeem reward points and make a travel booking simultaneously and in real time, with no restrictions on when to travel, who to travel with and in what class. Inspire was tasked with creating a unique point-based platform that would provide cardholders with the ultimate selection of travel rewards The programme also had to be multilingual and offer cardholders the flexibility to split their payment method between reward points and their local currency.
Inspire integrated thousands of travel products into the multilingual point-based platform, to ensure it provided cardholders with the level of choice required by MasterCard Loyalty Solutions. Many traditional programmes offer rewards affiliated with one airline, with restricted availability. This limits cardholders when redeeming points. Our expertise allowed us to create a platform that incorporated over 400 scheduled and low cost airlines globally, 300,000 hotels worldwide and 45,000 car hire locations. Cardholders can now book any type of travel from a huge choice of suppliers and redeem their reward points against products such as: low cost flights, scheduled flights, hotels, airport parking, airport lounges, airport transfers, car hire, package holidays and attractions.
Our innovative approach has allowed Inspire and Mastercard to forge a fantastic, on-going working relationship. Since launching the programme in January 2014, it has expanded across EMEA at a rapid rate, currently operating more than 25 programmes with banks across the globe. Inspire and MasterCard Loyalty Solutions have created and implemented a market-leading platform for travel loyalty solutions. The level of service offered via Inspire programmes is exceptional, all bookings are made in real-time and as the technology translates language, currency, tax implications and reward points value automatically.
